New York City Marathon 2018 November 4th

My 16th full marathon was NewYork 2017 and 2018. This NewYork marathon was for my mother and mother in law cheering from the heaven up in the sky wherever I am running. I dedicate the memorial 60th NYCM finishers medal to them.

Finish time 3:15:07 with total accumulated elevation gains 800 meters.

2715th place out of over 53,000 runners total from over the world.

Relaxing enjoying pace under 13 hours of time zone difference. Music 🎼 was great 👍 Spectators was the best in the USA 🇺🇸

My ambition 🎯 was top 1% = top 500 remains. No regret for this challenge. Enjoyed every single moment of this 3:15:07. I have running together with them.

Thank you for Lindsay and Neel for inspiring conversations prior to the race. It was just right after 13 hours flight from Japan for me and I felt almost like the last one mile run in marathon and I enjoyed our chatting the most. My total motivation raised to the top! Got 💯 ready for the big Sunday NYCM! ;)

Thank you for Yumiko san and friend for your friendship in NewYork. The Chelsea market and steakhouse were awesome!

Thank you Matt nice to seeing you in Strava shake out session one day prior to the big day! The 5Km race was just so awesome. I’ll run Berlin 2019!

I missed Adam Kimble in NewYork City Marathon this time. We’ve met in Boston marathon 2017. We couldn’t catch up this time but  he has won the great ultra desert race in Namibia 🇳🇦 What an inspiring achievement! Huge Congratulations to Adam!

Thank you so much for Roger to catch up call in over twenty years ago. I will definitely visiting next time.

Thank you Alberto for the time in Columbia University actually at the cafe nearby. The coffee ☕️ was perfect! Will catch up with you soon.

The day after the marathon

Walking in the Central Park. Imagine.. the song and the lyrics came to my mind naturally.

Looking at towards the Dakota house.

- South Dakota the mother land.

~Imagine~ John Lennon
Imagine there's no heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us, only sky
Imagine all the people living for today
Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion, too
Imagine all the people living life in peace
You...

You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope some day you'll join us
And the world will be as one

Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people sharing all the world

You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope some day you'll join us
And the world will live as one

Short stop by Stanford University track and field. One of the best place to run in the US.  Rechteinstein painting and Rodin sculptures in the campus. My gratitude for James for everything during my stay. Let’s catch up sometime soon.

All of these are the gifts from my parents brought me up in mentality and physically robust. I’ve never thought that I’d be running marathon in 30 years since my first visit to the United States 🇺🇸

I can recommend this NewYork City Marathon week for family time not only for marathon but also art 🎼 musicals, inspiring design and cultures in this city.

At the end.. both 2017 and 2018 were truly difficult time for me and my families. Shifted my life in these two years in both work and life. I believe running can change your life in various aspects. Running can connect people with honesty and integrity. I believe that will help people become healthier and happier.

Thank you so much friends for your cheer up. Let’s keep in touch. God bless us all.

Best,

Satoshi Kun Hashimoto
